A Path To Personal Freedom

A Path To Personal Freedom

A Path to Personal Freedom:

My path to personal freedom started in 2020 when I decided to leave my job, leave my home state of Washington and move to Montana to build the life I had dreamed about. I was tired of working just to work. I had no purpose and needed to pursue my passion for construction and the outdoors somewhere else. I needed to figure out what really made me happy. I needed to find out why I got up every morning and went to work. I was driven to be successful, but I wasn’t in the right place or surrounded by the right people or a team  that inspired me to fulfill my purpose. I needed the freedom to live the life I wanted to live the way I wanted to live it.

So I moved to Montana and  knocked on doors until I found a new job. one in luxury custom homes. This is what I had dreamt about. Building for clients who appreciate details at every corner. I found new mentors, new friends and new places to explore. I started to surround myself with like minded people who motivated me, inspired me and pushed me to be the best version of myself! I found purpose and passion in my work. This is one of two major keys in my path to personal freedom, finding purpose in your work and taking pride in it. The other key is finding what I lived for. This was easy for me because I knew I lived for the outdoors; my sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle, the rat race of America. Montana provided all of that for me, the rivers, the lakes and the mountains! When work becomes work and it always will at some point become a grueling  grind no matter how much you love your job. I try to remember why I go to work. I go to work because it provides freedom in my life to LIVE! To get outside and explore the outdoors through hunting. That is what I live for!

After a few years in Montana, I needed to level up! My dreams grew as did my goals. I had to figure out how I could live MORE! My father taught me if I wanted more than I needed to work more! Through this aching memory of an idea I had after graduating from college where I would get off work in Washington and would call my buddy complaining how I was surrounded by people that were working  just to work, clocking in, clocking out, no passion other than punching a time card and building someone else's dream. This is where the saying “Work to live, don’t live to work” stemmed from. From there I was inspired to start this company with one thing in mind. Spread the attitude of finding what you live for and working to live for it.  Every day I wake up I am excited to get up and chase my dreams, I am excited about the work I do in custom homes and I am excited about creating clothing that represents Freedom! This is how I found my personal freedom, by dreaming, setting goals and working towards them everyday. When I started this company, I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew it had no limitations, no work hours, no bosses, just inspiration, motivation and a passion for living life to the fullest. ALTHOUGH I still work my dAY JOB AS A SUPERINTENDENT, I love my TEAM and would trade it for the world. I stay busy developing “Work To Live” IN THE after hours, late into the night and early before starting my day.

This is my path to personal freedom, and I encourage everyone that is battling what decision to make next in their life to make the choice that you will live for, to find purpose in your next move and find passion in your work. Do not be scared to push yourself to achieve your dreams, surround yourself with like minded people and push the boundaries of what you think is possible. If you find what you live for, you will know what to work for and that is the key personal freedom!

Work To Live.
